A 110 Year old Church Destroyed by Fire

Holy Trinity Episcopal Church and 315 Gold Street in Juneau, Alaska were destroyed by fire the morning of Sunday, March 12, 2006. On Friday, March 24, 2006 a 24 year old Juneau man was arrested and charged with felony arson and criminal mischief for setting a boat on fire that was between the two structures – a fire which rapidly spread to the second oldest Church in Juneau and the house. The man apparently did not target the boat for any reason other than he was angry at having been thrown out of a party and it was the object he directed his anger towards.
