Hawthorne Peak, Middle Peak, and West Peak
This picture was taken from Blueberry Hills Road South looking ESE some 7 miles. Left to right: Hawthorne Peak – 4,210 ft.; Middle Peak – 3,722 ft.; West Peak – 3,620 ft. The shoulder of Mt. Roberts is on the left. Middle Peak is 6.6 miles from the State Capitol in downtown Juneau, Alaska. Hawthorne Peak was named in 1890 by Lt. Comdr. H. B. Mansfield, U.S. Navy. Published in 1893 by the U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey on Chart #8235; it was formerly named East Peak.
