WEST JUNEAU WEEKLY PICTURE
Deer by Street Light

This picture was shot at a moment’s notice through the dining room window. The deer had crossed Nowell Avenue from the upper side and was crossing the top of our driveway when my Dad noticed at first what he thought was a dog, but was actually a deer. The deer paused long enough on the yard for me to grab the camera, get to the window, make one setting change, and take the picture before it headed between the houses to the neighbor’s backyard.
