patchy fog in the neighborhood in the past 15 minutes. Blueberry Hills is in the fog.

Chance Basin.

7/26/04: The State Office Building in Juneau had a direct lightning strike on 7/24 which
damaged the 465 telephone exchange for a time. The system is now mostly functional.

2012: A Crow flew into one of the large Living Room picture windows, it flew back to the deck's
seatback top - didn't seem to affect it one bit because it then flew off immediately.
This was the largest bird ever to have hit one of our windows since my family moved into this
house in July 1970. Other people in the Juneau area have had Bald Eagles fly into their windows,
in most cases breaking the window and injuring the bird.
