snow through Monday morning. Several inches of snow are possible
during this time, especially over the central and northern inner

- Note: The state audit only looked at monies collected
by the state and expended by the CBJ (which
went to the new floating berths); not the
CBJ's tax and the expenditures that arose
from that portion. Let it also be noted that
cruise ship passengers pay some 7 - 8 million
dollars in CBJ sales taxes yearly while they
are in Juneau. They are contributing. The cruise lines also through
other fees pay docking & mooring fees,
for water (marked up by Docks & Harbors),
and for other services.

- "Whenever I fly, I can’t help but marvel at the stagnation
that has existed in the aviation industry
over past half century or so. Other than
personal video screens, smoking bans and
a much cushier business class, commercial
air travel is pretty much the same passenger
experience I remember as a kid in the 1970s.
Someone pointed out a few days ago that from
the Wright Brothers’ flight to supersonic
flight was a mere 44 years. That’s a pretty
stunning rate of innovation. The last 44
years? Meh." My thoughts exactly.
