- That's why the marijuana "legalization"*
and especially commercialization is not good;
we already have enough problems with alcohol.
*It's still illegal under Federal law, Federal
law always trumps State law regardless of
what the B.O. Administration and the CBJ
Attorney says; and NOT ONE Assembly Member
gives a hoot about that. In another day and
age they would be charged with aiding and
abetting (and profiting from the City Sales
Tax collected) a criminal enterprise... that's
why banks won't touch it with a 10 foot pole.
And no Mayor Koelsch, it's not up to the
Federal Government to change it to accommodate
the dope pushers and to please you and the
CBJ Assembly.

- NWS Summary of June 2016 Weather at the Juneau International Airport:
...WARM JUNE WITH NEAR NORMAL PRECIPITATION FOR JUNEAU...
The average June temperature continues the trend of above average
temperatures for Juneau. At around 1.9 degrees above average it was not
as warm as previous months but this still makes June the 9th month in a
row with above normal temperatures. 6 days with temperatures at or
above 70 degrees contributed to the warmth. The warmest period occurred
on the 15th and 16th, with the high on the 16th reaching 80 degrees.
The coolest weather came during the first six days of the month when
temperatures never got above 60 degrees. However the lowest temperature
recorded did not occur until the 14th when the mercury dropped to 38
degrees.
Rainfall during June was slightly above normal only totaling around
0.24 inches above average. The wettest periods were at the beginning
and end of the month. In fact the first 6 days accounted for nearly
half of the total rainfall. This period also had the day with the
highest daily rainfall with 0.84 inches recorded on the 3rd. The rest
of the month only had 5 days with daily rainfall over 0.10 inches. This
includes the day with the second highest daily rainfall for the month
of 0.66 inches on the last day of June. The driest stretch was mid
month with a trace or less of rain observed over 6 days from the 14th
through the 19th. A rare thunderstorm also made an appearance on the
evening of June 29th with thunder and lightning observed across most of
Juneau.
Winds for the month averaged around 7.1 kt. The highest winds occurred
on June 3rd with a rather strong low that tracked north along the outer
coast. The highest wind gust recorded was around 43 kt out of the SE.

outburst flood along the Mendenhall River. The added water
from the Glacier-dammed lake into the river system will result in
continued flooding. The river is currently rising at 3 inches

indicates that Mendenhall Lake and River could see similar levels
to the 2014 record event of 11.85 feet. The current data indicates that the
river may crest slightly higher and sooner than previously forecast.
As of 1000 am akdt water was covering West Glacier Spur Road between
Skaters Cabin and West Glacier trail. Water was also up into backyards
of some houses along View Drive. People are encouraged to stay away from

- Lay-up would be from Fall 2016 - through September
30, 2017, with the option to renew for two
(2) additional one-year terms. Editor: Can't
"we" lease it out to some other
entity and make some money - even if the
vessel is used halfway around the world;
rather than paying to just have it sit in
Seattle? If some laws or regulations prevent
that, they need to be changed.
