The National Weather Service in Juneau has cancelled the Winter
Storm Warning.
Snowfall has eased today and will become more scattered through
the afternoon. The border station on The Klondike Highway measured
8 inches as of this morning. 6 inches of snow was reported in
downtown Haines. Bartlett Cove received 3.2 inches and 2.7 inches
was measured in Hoonah as of this morning. 3.4 inches has fallen
at the Juneau Weather Service office. An additional 1-3 inches can be
expected through this evening with some rain mixing in. Areas of
blowing snow will continue to reduce visibilities to 1 mile or less
at times.
This will be the final statement on this event.

* Snow...6 to 12 inches through late Monday afternoon with highest
amounts near Haines and along The Klondike Highway.
* Timing...a burst of heavy snow is expected Monday morning. Snow
will mix with rain Monday afternoon.
* Wind...gusty southeast winds ranging from 30 to 45 mph will
persist through Monday afternoon.
* Impacts...visibility will be reduced to 1 mile or less at times
in blowing snow. Driving will become hazardous. Heavy wet snow
will be difficult to manage due to a high water content.
