I have figured out what the problem was. The claim that a consecutive days of measurable precipitation record had been broken on October 27th was not true. No consecutive days of measurable precipitation record was broken this year. The 34 days this year did exceed on Oct. 27th the streak of 31 days set Sept. 14, 1991 to Oct. 14, 1991; but that streak was exceeded by the streak of 49 days from Sept. 29 - Nov. 16, 1999.
