The RCA Alascom microwave passive reflector was constructed in the mid-1970’s for relaying long distance telephone communications between the downtown and Lena Point locations and took the place of the abandoned much smaller square microwave passive reflector on the northwest shoulder of Mt. Roberts; it is now under the control of Capital Community Broadcasting and is not in use.
