NWS Special Weather Statement 4 PM ADT Sat Sep 22 2007 ...Streams and creeks to rise near bankfull again... An incoming storm moving across the Gulf Sunday will usher in the fall season to Southeast Alaska. Gusty winds and potentially locally heavy rains are possible during this storm. Rainfall accumulations between one and a half and three inches are possible during this event through Sunday night. The higher amounts should be enough to bring some of the rivers...streams and creeks to near bankfull levels again. If precipitation is even heavier than expected some nuisance flooding can be expected in some locations. Anyone living near a location prone to nuisance flooding from heavy rains should be prepared if it occurs.
