<p align="justify"> <font face="verdana">Evergreen Bowl was originally a patented mining claim, the Boston No. 2, U.S. Mineral Survey 926 located January 1, 1897 and patented January 18, 1917.</p>
<p align="justify"><font face="verdana">The Juneau Chamber reported in January 1936 that it would be easy to tunnel from Seward St. to Evergreen Bowl for quick access for school children.</p>
<p> July 18, 1941: The swimming pool in Evergreen Bowl is dedicated. </p>
<p> February 5, 1960: City buys Evergreen Bowl from A.J. Industries, the successor to the Alaska Juneau Gold Mining Co., for $20,000.</p>
<p>The park within Evergreen Bowl is named after local firefighter Bill Cope who died in March 1972. Mr. Cope had put tremendous effort into organizing sports activities through the Juneau Volunteer Fire Department.</font></p>

<i>Auke Bay Harbor: (907) 789-0819. This moorage facility is located 12 miles by road to the north of Juneau. The harbor is connected to town by road. Be prepared to be sent here if space is at a premium downtown. The Don D. Statter Harbor facilities provides 6,000&#8242; of transient moorage for boats up to 200&#8242; in length. Moorage is on a first-come, first-served basis. Register at the Harbor Master&#8217;s office (located at the head of the floats) to get current rules and regulations for transient moorage. The Length of stay varies, and you could be cited for over-staying. Water, showers, and pump-out are available. Showers and carts are found at the Harbor Master&#8217;s office (hours are 8:00 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. in May but are usually extended later in the summer.) There is a public grid.</i></font></p>
